Note des rédacteurs

Editors' Note

Although the October 1st election is now rather old news we think its importance for the country and our readers deserves some focus in this issue. We present in our special coverage on pages 6 to 10, a mix of photos and brief extracts from reports, personal accounts and other documents from partners who received Canadian support for their election efforts.

Regular readers will notice that this issue is missing a cartoon. Our former cartoonist will soon be publishing his work and so it's no longer available to us. If you know of a suitable replacement, or have good cartoon ideas, we have an opening!

This final edition for 2001 launches Shathi's first annual photo contest. Entries will be judged by the Shathi editorial board with professional advice from one of our partner photographers. The winning entries will be published in this magazine and will be displayed at the CIDA PSU.

Finally, our next issue will profile support to knowledge building in Bangladesh. Your contributions are invited by February 28, 2002.
