GUIDELINES FOR USE OF PSU SERVICES:
GENERAL
GUIDELINES:
PSU's primary clients are CIDA post and desk officers, CEAs and LEAs and visiting CIDA Consultants.
Services are provided
depending upon the availability of resources (manpower and
equipment) and on a first come first served basis. Priority is
decided by CIDA/CHC.
Services are provided to DFAITand other branches of CIDA if resources are available.
Requests
for the following services are to be communicated as indicated:
Accommodation booking and itinerary: Iqbal Khan (Iqbal.Khan@cidapsudhaka.org)
Vehicle Services:                                Mahboob Elahi (Mahboob.Elahi@cidapsudhaka.org)
Request for other services are to be made to the Director.
WAIVER OF
LIABILITY:
The PSU is not liable for any damage/loss of
personal belongings, injuries or death of visitors from any cause, directly or indirectly, while using its
services.
Visitors must sign the
Waiver of Liability form for users before using PSU services. Please
hand over the waiver to the Transport Supervisor after
signing.
BILLING AND PAYMENTS:
A consolidated bill is prepared for all services provided. The final bill is provided before departure in the case of visiting missions. Should you require an interim bill, notify the Accounts Section.
All payments must be made directly to the Finance & Accounts Section. Make sure to take an official receipt. Payments can be made in cash, traveller's cheque, bank draft or Canadian bank cheques (with applicable bank charges). Make cheque/draft payable in favour of PSU/CIDA. Credit cards are not accepted.
For long term users, bills are prepared on a monthly basis.
VEHICLE USAGE:
Vehicle requirements for city use or field trips by visiting missions should be communicated to the Transport Supervisor preferably prior to arrival.
PSU drivers receive a per diem in advance
before going on a field trip. Users are therefore requested not to
make any field expenses payment directly to the driver.
CELLPHONES
& LAPTOPS:
Requests for cell phones and laptops should be made in advance. They will be assigned on ‘first come first served' basis.
OTHER ISSUES:
Communication is often a problem (Bangla,
pronunciation), so visitors are asked to speak in simple short
English sentences and avoid any North American/European jargons.
The PSU strives to deliver
a Canadian standard of service in a Bangladeshi environment. The
potential for shortfalls is always present. The PSU asks that this
be understood by users. Constructive criticism is welcome.
All PSU personnel are
advised to be
helpful, courteous and efficient in the delivery of services. PSU
service users are expected to reciprocate.
PSU office
premises are a no-smoking area. Smoking is also not permitted in PSU
vehicles. Your cooperation will be
appreciated.
PSU does not encourage tips
or gratuities. However, if you feel inclined to do so please contact
the General Manager, Finance or the Director for advice.
